Lumico

Is a design project based on the Wayuú Culture, a Native ethnic group of the Guajira Peninsula in northern Colombia, specifically in their knitting techniques and uses of raw material. This series consists of 22 lamps made on a production system, involving industrial and handcrafted processes. Each lamp is made of recycled wood, crystal jars and basic electric circuit for LED lights. The final product has 5 wood rings which can be disposed in different directions in order to set the light position.
