I foster liveability
working with nature rather than extracting from it
Hi! I'm Paula, a Colombian multidisciplinary creator and surrealistic storyteller, passionate about regenerative design thinking social justice, equity and positive design.
I'm a graduate student of MFA interior design at Parsons with a Bachelor in human centered design. Through multidisciplinary thinking between humans and more-than-humans, co-creation, branding and constant experimentation with healthier materials are my practice cornerstones.

I believe that design is an important tool to create a more inclusive and sustainable world, which can promote participation for diverse cultural groups, reduce barriers, and create comfortable experiences. I stand for environmental
and social justice, equity, empowerment of marginalized communities and the right of healthy living conditions for all humans and non-humans. I believe the role of designers is crucial to transform our societies’ into more connected spaces by using critical observation skills that can create an immediate
positive change. I wish explore this connection in spaces by telling stories through my surrealistic, eclectic, imaginative and colorful design style, to generate powerful emotions that can make people stop, reflect and imagine alternative futures.

Leading creatives and designers should advocate on working with nature rather than extracting from it by highlighting the essential of every project and adapting concepts of regenerative design thinking to improve our urban ecosystems to be best adapted to the future.
